Privacy Policy
Effective October 18, 2026 · Ask Odell is a product of The Agency LLC, Snohomish, Washington.
This policy covers two different things, and we keep them separate: (1) this public website, and (2) the Ask Odell service used by our customers and their employees. The rules for customer knowledge — the cabinets — are stricter, and they're contractual, not just promised here.
1. This website
We collect the information you give us through the contact form (name, company, email, phone, and your message) so we can reply to you. We use standard, privacy-respecting analytics to understand which pages are read; we do not sell personal information, and we do not add you to marketing lists without your consent. If you ask us to delete your contact information, we will.
2. Customer knowledge in the Ask Odell service
Knowledge a customer places in Odell — interviews, documents, entries, prices, procedures — belongs to that customer. Our commitments:
- No training. Customer knowledge and conversations are never used to train AI models — ours or any provider's. AI providers are engaged under paid terms that exclude training on customer data, with zero-retention settings wherever offered.
- Permission-bound access. Access inside a customer's Odell is governed by that customer's permission settings. Our staff access is limited to operation, support, and maintenance, and is logged.
- Auditability. Asks, document access, permission changes, and approvals are recorded in an append-only log available to the customer's owner.
- Ephemeral conversations. Ask sessions are not retained as content; the system records that a question was asked, by whom, and from which cabinets it was answered.
- Exit. On termination, a customer may export their cabinets and documents, and we will delete hosted copies on the schedule stated in their agreement.
3. Subprocessors
We use a small number of infrastructure and AI providers to operate the service. Providers are chosen in part for their data terms; a current list is available to customers on request, and Dedicated-lane customers connect providers under their own accounts.
4. Security
Customer data is encrypted in transit and at rest, access is authenticated and role-scoped, and the design applies permission checks before retrieval. No system can be guaranteed risk-free; our Trust & Security page describes the stack and its honest limits in plain language.
